We are looking to recruit a Highway Technician to work in our Engineering Solutions business based in Ipswich. We are looking for people who are passionate about civil engineering and would like to play a vital role delivering highway design solutions primarily in the East of England.

As a Highways Technician, you will be part of our successful Engineering Solutions team who have been based in Ipswich for 10 years. We pride ourselves on developing staff and have an excellent staff retention record.

**As a Highway Technician your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Assist with production of designs, drawings, specifications, health & safety documents and bill of quantities as part of an overall design package;
- Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations with other team members;
- Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with QSE standards and processes;
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to understand and develop project objectives;
- Assist in the production of technical reports;
- Assist with general office activities.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction;
- Computer literate on Microsoft packages
- Awareness of AutoCAD (desirable)
- UK/EEC driving licence
