W&A is partnering with an ecological organisation in East Lothian as they seek to hire a Head of Finance.
As Head of Finance you will be responsible for leading the successful running of the Finance & IT Team.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you will take full responsibility for delivering high quality financial and management reporting to the business, and provide strong financial leadership.

This role will operate on a hybrid basis.
**About You**:
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong experience in a similar role producing management accounts
- Solid knowledge of UK financial reporting standards (in particular, FRS102)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Sage accounting software
- A can-do, positive attitude with a willingness to provide support and assistance to colleagues
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational, problem solving and numeracy skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Able to handle confidential data sensitively
**Role Specifics**:
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and cashflow, pro-actively responding to anticipate and manage issues before they occur
- Produce timely monthly Management Accounts
- Lead the annual Statutory Accounts/ Audit process
- Co-ordinate preparation of monthly Board Pack
- Lead the annual Budget process
- Work with the Senior Management Team to provide financial analysis on projects
- Analyse financial trends, identify issues and escalate as appropriate
- Manage IT provision and oversee ERP system to continually develop more sophisticated reporting
- Ensure adequate financial controls and risk management processes
- Fulfil Company Secretarial tasks, including liaison with legal counsel at Private Equity Shareholder as appropriate
- Contribute to strategic and business improvement
- Provider leadership, development & mentoring to the Finance & IT teams
- Ensure objectives align with the company's values, particularly focusing on sustainability and environmental responsibility
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
