**Overview**:
Howard Brothers Joinery are recruiting for a Factory labourer/wrapper/driver to join our modern CAD/CAM Manufacturing Facility.

Here at HBJ, we design, manufacture and install exquisite bespoke joinery, bound for some of the world’s most exclusive residential addresses; a host of the UK’s most ancient and historic buildings; as well as the Capital’s leading corporate landmark developments.

The role of the Factory labourer/wrapper/driver will be based at our factory in East Sussex and will be responsible for the protective of our bespoke joinery items prior to dispatch, as well as the general good housekeeping of our manufacturing facility.

The role will require you to work on your own initiative, to complete tasks as efficiently as possible, while keeping the area foreman informed as to progress.

**The role requires you to**:

- Keeping the workshop clean and tidy as required.
- Clean communal areas as required.
- Clean external areas as required
- Follow procedures to ensure the correct level of protective wrapping is provided to all outgoing works.
- Ensure all wrapped joinery is correctly marked up with HBJ labels and corresponding paperwork.
- Drive Company delivery vehicles as and when required.
- Undertake user checks and inspection of machinery, forklift trucks and vehicles prior to use.
- Follow Works Manager and Area Foreman’s instructions.
- Undertake minor building works as required.
- Follow Company procedures relating to chain of custody.
- Follow Company procedures relating to Quality, Health and safety and environment (QHSE).
- Complete quality control records.
- Minimise waste & maximize productivity.

**You will be**:

- Ideally in possession of a Forklift Truck driving licence (training can be provided).
- In possession of a clean DVLA driving licence and able to drive the company vehicle (unfortunately a minimum 25-year age requirement on insurance policy)
- Able to work without immediate and continuous direction.
- Equipped with a basic knowledge of PC programmes.
- An ‘attention to detail’ oriented person, capable of maintaining the highest standards.
- Experienced in manufacturing wrapping duties (Joinery Experience advantageous).
- Experienced in manufacturing labouring duties (Joinery Experience advantageous).
- Expected to undertake overtime, as and when required, to achieve project requirements.
