Job Description: SEN Administrator (Temporary to Permanent)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SEN Administrator to join our team at a Secondary School located in Greenwich. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering full-time hours and an hourly rate. As the SEN Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Special Educational Needs (SEN) department, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and providing essential assistance to students with special educational needs.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the SEN department to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students with special educational needs, including Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and relevant documentation.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of SEN assessments, ensuring that appropriate support is provided to students during the assessment process.
- Support the SEN team in organizing and scheduling meetings, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and involved.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and external agencies regarding the progress and support needs of students with special educational needs.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports, documents, and resources related to SEN provision.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations when handling sensitive student information.
- Collaborate with other school staff to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in an administrative role within an educational setting, preferably in a SEN department.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to special educational needs is desirable.
- Sensitivity and empathy towards students with special educational needs, with a commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality within the school community.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
Please note that this is a temporary to permanent position, offering full-time hours and an hourly rate.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months
**Salary**: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
