**About the role**

Soiltechnics are looking for a driven Senior Geo-environmental Consultant to support our expanding Land Quality Team within Soiltechnics. Within this team, you will be working alongside our geotechnical, engineering and ground investigation specialists to provide technical excellence and sustainable solutions to our clients, across a broad range of industries and developments.

Land Quality covers many topics, ranging from contaminated land risk assessments, ground gas design and verification, remediation options appraisals and strategies, material and soil waste management, permits, and more.

You would be expected to work across the breadth of the four main land contamination specialities (health, waters, permanent gases, and vapours), and be supported to work towards chartership (if not already held) and relevant industry accreditations to support your areas of interest as they develop.

The role is primarily office-based, and visits to sites across the country should be expected. Vehicles for travel are provided by the company although you will need to be able to attend our offices and have a full driving license. As a guide, it is envisaged at least 90% of the role will be office-based.

Along with writing and reviewing a wide range of reports, uYou will support the Technical Director in the tendering for new work, project management of existing schemes, and in the line management of junior employees within the department.

Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients’ needs first and a thirst to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the field and a relevant degree. You must hold or be actively working towards chartership with a relevant industry body.

You will have a good understanding of land contamination risk assessment, strong communication skills, be reliable and a team player with a proactive and positive attitude. You will be looking to learn new skills and have practical problem-solving skills.

You will be expected to sit the necessary courses, medical, drug and alcohol screening tests as required.

A full and clean driving license is a requirement for this role.

You’ll be working across a number of business areas so strong organisational skills are also a must. You’ll also have a strong team ethic, have a pro-active attitude and be able to demonstrate strong collaborative behaviors within a team and multifunctional trades.

**What we offer**

You’ll be joining a highly reputable and growing company who have a real passion for the environment and ground risk management, delivering a first-class service to customers. We’re offering a competitive starting salary of £35,000 - £45,000 pa (depending on experience) with overtime pay, along with 25 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays), paid travel and expenses, use of company vehicles for sitework, company profit sharing scheme, mentoring programme for progression to chartership and private, paid professional membership of a chartered body and private medical insurance.
