**The role**:
Joining our CleanSky-funded project on aerodynamics and aeroacoustics of distributed propulsion, you will contribute to our experimental research at the University of Bristol. You will become a part of a large group of highly motivated researchers, with a research focus of aerodynamics and aeroacoustics and development of new measurement tools. University of Bristol is home to the UK’s National Aeroacoustic Facility, and by joining the team you will have access to our state-of-the-art experimental facilities.

**What will you be doing?**:
Your will be responsible for developing new test rigs, performing aerodynamic and aeroacoustic measurements for propeller systems, designing advanced acoustic liners (Helmholtz resonators), and developing new measurement techniques to help better understand the noise generation from distributed propulsion systems. As part of this research, you will be collaborating with several UK and EU partners and are expected to visit partner universities during the course of your research. You will be using the National Aeroacoustic Facility at the University of Bristol. The results of this research are expected to be published in the fields top journals.

The project provides an opportunity to work on a fundamental, but also industrially important problem and collaborate with world-leading academics in the field. You will be able to attend several international conferences to present your results. As well as carrying the research defined in the CleanSky project to the highest standards, the successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a team and to prepare reports and presentations for project meetings and publications for international journals.
