**Job overview**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 5 Audiologist to join our Oldham Community Audiology Service. The post is for 3 days working from 8.00am until 6.00pm

The Oldham Audiology Service is friendly, forward thinking and experienced with a good skill mix. It is an innovative and dynamic service that provides assessment, treatment and advice to adults and children with hearing difficulties.

**Main duties of the job**:
You will provide routine audiological services on patients of varying ages in line with service requirements as part a team**.**

Key Responsibilities of the Post:

- Perform diagnostic audiological tests.
- Select, fit and rehabilitate patients with hearing aids using a complex computer system.

The service operates over the core hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.

Preferred working hours - 28 over 3 days. 8.00am - 6.00pm

**Qualification / Registration**:
**Essential criteria**:

- BSc Hons Audiology or MSc in Audiology or Diploma in Audiology or equivalent
- RCCP or HCPC registration

**Desirable criteria**:

- British Academy of Audiology membership and or BSA

**Knowledge skills experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Has experience of working in an NHS Audiology Department.
- Completed appropriate record of clinical competence, or demonstrate appropriate experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of professional guidelines
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all client groups and colleagues.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to perform a range of Audiological tests and to develop an individual care plan
- To engage in CPD and department appraisal system
- Ability to manage & prioritise own workload
- Ability to record clinical and professional activity
- Ability to contribute to service quality improvement
- Fine manual dexterity

**Desirable criteria**:

- Awareness of clinical governance.
- Ability to diffuse conflict
