**Who are Bird & Blend Tea Co.?**

Bird & Blend was set up and is run by Krisi and Mike, who met whilst studying Politics (of all things) at university. Starting off packing tea in their bedroom and attending markets, building Bird & Blend from scratch while staying true to our ethos and values has been Krisi and Mike’s passion. **What does a Team Leader do?**

The role of a Team Leader in our production room is to assist the Production Manager and existing Team Leader in all operational aspects of the production room. You will ensure the smooth running and timely completion of the daily schedule, complete traceability records for bulk goods in and completed goods out, maintenance logs, tea issue logs and any other AdHoc tasks. You will also be responsible for leading the team by example and setting a high standard of work through a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Team Leaders are responsible for leading and Inspiring the team to deliver on all KPI’s set out by the Production and Operations Manager. Communication with other department managers including the Warehouse and Online Fulfillment is essential to achieving these so maintaining those lines of communication is very important.

As part of the role your day to day will also include weighing up tea, running machinery, assembling packaging, boxing up stock, blending matcha and mastering Sticky Chai. Full training will be given for this role but possessing the following traits will all be essential: leadership skills, efficiency, competitiveness, organization, cleanliness & very high standards.

We are looking for a full time Team Leader to work 5 days (40 hours) per week. This position will include regular weekend work. The department's operational hours are between 8am and 4.30pm, gradually moving to 7 days a week, at our Back Ops site “The Nest”. Working outside of ‘normal’ hours (evenings) will be required as we expand our operating hours.

**What are the responsibilities?**
- Creating our wide range of tea, matcha and sticky chai products to a high standard.
- To work to the set deadlines whilst maintaining our high quality expectations.
- Drinking TEA-licious cuppas.
- General assistance across the department, keeping everywhere clean especially in between tasks, keeping a tidy and safe workspace and assisting in setting up the room and tasks.
- Updating Traceability records.
- A general understanding of Health & Safety food hygiene (full training provided).
- Key holder responsibilities.
