**About the Practice**
Lakeside Healthcare Partnership at Stamford is a forward thinking, progressive organisation offering primary care services to the people of Stamford and surrounding villages. We are a large practice with a population of over 28,000 patients. We are a great team and welcome the challenges that a busy practice brings.
**Job Introduction**
This position will serve as the main point of contact for communication between general practitioners (GPs), patients, local chemists, and other members of the primary healthcare team. The main responsibility is to ensure that patient prescriptions are handled promptly and in accordance with the current protocols of the clinic.
The employee in this role will perform various administrative duties throughout the day as part of the team and will also be responsible for overseeing the repeat prescription service, delegating tasks to the Prescription team when necessary.
Additionally, the employee will be responsible for maintaining an efficient prescription service, meeting service targets, and minimising errors.
**What you will do**
- The postholder will achieve and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures during their working day.
- You will be expected to process prescriptions that come into the surgery/team.
- The postholder will be expected to manage their workload in an efficient and timely manner.
- Develop, build and communicate effective relationships with external stakeholders e.g., local health authorities.
- Liaise with patients, work colleagues and/or third parties and manage their expectations and requests in a friendly, polite and professional manner at all times.
**Essential Criteria**
- Proven customer service skills.
- Experience of working in a busy and multi-functional team.
- Experience of demonstrating a good telephone manner.
- Ability to cope well under pressure.
- Meet tight deadlines.
- Solution focused to problems that arise.
- Able to work as part of a team?
- Experience of working on SystmOne clinical database - desirable
