Fire Protection Installer

My client designs, installs and maintains bespoke and accredited fire protection systems across a number of high-risk industries.

They are seeking experienced Mechanical Installation Engineers to join their Fixed Installation Team of professionals.

Please note you will be working at heights and so you will need IPAF or QBE at heights.

The Mechanical Installation Engineer’s role will include the installation of both mechanical and detection systems, conducting scheduled servicing (where required) of installed equipment.

Please note that regular travel throughout the UK is required and a vehicle and overnight allowances will be applied.

**Installation Engineer Responsibilities**:

- Install bespoke fire suppression systems, encompassing both mechanical and detection components.
- Travel to sites and projects daily to install and manage our fire suppression system in a safe and timely manner.
- Duties will involve cable pulling and fitting pipework into fire boxes.
- Diagnose and conduct repairs on systems.
- Complete and return relevant documentation to the office and provide regular updates regarding installation progression.
- Supporting any investigations and any root cause analysis.
- Responding to call outs nationwide in a timely manner ensuring minimum disruption to productivity.

**Installation Engineer Requirements**:

- Experience of working with the Fire Safety and Suppression industry
- Engineering background with mechanical/electrical knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience of front-line customer service is essential.
- Willingness to be working away and travelling nationwide as the business needs require.
- Experience of working at Heights, working within waste, recycling or similar industry
- IPAF Training (ideal), CSCS Card
