ESTIMATOR JOB SUMMARY:
Due to continued growth, we are excited to be working exclusively with this Ringwood based organisation, to help them expand their team with the addition of an Estimator.
Whilst previous experience in the construction space would be ideal, our client is happy to offer support and training to someone with a genuine interest, and the capability, to learn the ropes and further develop the role of the Estimator.
Based predominantly in their Ringwood office, and reporting into the estimating team, the key responsibilities of the Estimator will be to interpret customers projects requirements, in order to compile and issue pricing estimates and to keep on top of the statusof these estimates.
ESTIMATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and issue estimates and quotations.
- Assist with management of a number of projects - across the UK.
- Liaise with suppliers and other third parties, as required to identify pricing, delivery expectations etc.
- Update and maintain databases/systems internally.
- Take on other project administration duties to support a busy team.
KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Previous Estimating / quotation experience would be ideal, but not essential as training can be provided
- The ability to read/understand construction drawings -training can be provided, but a basic understanding would be ideal
- Strong administration and customer interaction experience is essential
- This is a busy, varied role within a fast paced, agile environment, so it is essential that you can multitask and work to deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Internet etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail - not only will you be doing estimates, quotations and working with construction drawings and job briefs, but you will also be involved in a number of other projects as they arise
- Exceptional administrative and organisation skills.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work as part of a small team
- Hands on approach is essential - everyone in the team muck in and support each other to ensure that the business runs smoothly.
