**About the Role**

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the construction industry and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Based from our office in Christchurch, Dorset, you will be responsible for assisting with the estimating workload, making sure the quotes we send out are accurate, competitive, and they are returned on time.

The role involves undertaking site surveys, so you will need to be comfortable working at height and hold a valid UK driving license. Our office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

**Responsibilities**
- Learn to prepare accurate cost estimates for residential renovation projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses.
- Assist senior estimators in analysing project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Develop a good understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Participate in site visits and meetings as required.
- Support the estimation team in other administrative tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- A keen interest in construction and home improvement.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

**About You**

The role suits people that are comfortable being social, naturally like to plan, have an eye for detail, feel like they need to complete a job once they start it, and instinctively double-check work to make sure it is right. You should enjoy learning, working in a team, and solving problems.

Previous experience in the commercial construction sector would be an advantage, whether that be as an estimator or as an operative.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
