Animal Care Assistant
- **Salary in line with National Minimum wage**_
- Someone who has a minimum of 1 year experience
- Someone who wants to further their career and eventually become a Qualified RVN
Would you like to join a fun, committed and passionate team?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to join our skilled team of three vets, five RVNs, two SVNs & two auxiliary nurses plus a fantastic reception team. We operate from a well-equipped, purpose built building with excellent facilities including digital imaging, ultrasonography, in house laboratory, four consulting rooms, two operating theatres and a brand new dental suite with recently installed dental radiography.
Duties will include:
- Excellent inpatient care covering a varied caseload
- Running laboratory samples
- Theatre cleaning and closing down
- Cleaning and sterilising surgical instruments
- Patient handling and restraint
- Assisting the clinical team in all aspects of patient and client care
- Occasional reception duties
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the practice
- Administrative duties

- Ability to work efficiently within a team
- Good rapport with clients
- Hard working, trustworthy and positive attitude
