This Level 2 General welding apprenticeship (with opportunity of leading to City in Guilds level 3 advanced welding), gives you the opportunity to learn from experienced Stainless Steel Mig welders within our busy Stainless Cylinder manufacturing facility, alongside studying for your Level 2 & possibly advanced level 3 Welding Apprenticeship supported by Training 2000.

**As part of your Apprenticeship, you will**:

- Be given the opportunity to attain a minimum Level 2 general welding apprenticeship (with opportunity of level 3, City in Guilds advanced welding).
- Work with our current team of stainless Mig welders within our Stainless Cylinder Manufacturing Plant, focusing on quality and attention to detail and ensuring cylinder production is maintained to target/plan.
- Gain knowledge and possible experience of all areas within cylinder manufacturing
- Work in a busy production environment on a 5-day 37hr rotating shift pattern over 5 days.
- Be offered the opportunity to work with likeminded, hardworking, and passionate people to drive plant asset efficiencies to ensure products are manufactured to the correct standard, cost & timescale.

**Training**

The successful Apprentice will complete a minimum Level 2 welding apprenticeship over 18 months dependant on experience and be expected to attend college via a four-week block release, followed by workplace assessment. Successful completion of all work modules to agreed timescales is required for the qualification.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, become part of a Career Development Pathway.

**Responsibilities**
- To always act as an ambassador for Baxi Heating UK
- To comply with the Health and Safety Policy and procedures and draw to their manager’s attention any unsafe working practice/conditions
- To comply with the Information Security Policy.
- To comply with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy at all times

**Skills, Knowledge & Education Required**:

- A positive can-do attitude
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to listen and follow instructions from your peers
- Good practical skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Must have a **minimum of Two GCSE at Grade 5(D) above including Maths & English.**
