Goalkeeping Coach

**Salary**: £12-18 per hour (dependent on qualification)

**Hours**: Minimum 1 hour per week

**Contract**: 1 year fixed-term

**Closing Date**: 3rd April 2023

**Job Purpose**

We are looking for highly motivated goalkeeper coaches with experience working in a talent development and school environment to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering sessions for boys and girls within our Player Development Centres and possibly local schools.

**Job Summary**
- The planning and delivery of creative, active and engaging football sessions for children from 5-16 years old.
- To develop positive relationships with all key partners including players, parents and fellow coaches.
- Work flexibly to ensure full and supportive delivery of the programme. Will include evening work and possibly some weekends.
- Must be available to work during school holidays to help deliver our Soccer Schools.
- To support at a variety of events throughout the year including promotional campaigns.
- Working closely with the department managers to ensure the Palace for Life coaching curriculum is adhered to.
- To complete short termly feedback reports to inform the players and their parents of strengths and weaknesses.
- Potential to support with other parts of the Foundation including PE, SEND, Women & Girls and 1 to 1 mentoring.
- Help grow the programme by being proactive and inviting players of the required ability to sessions.
- To attend meetings and training for continuous professional development.
- Commit to ongoing self-directed learning in order to further develop work related skills and knowledge.

**Job Requirements**

**_
Essential_**
- Minimum FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers.
- Reliable, organised and caring coach. Desire to learn and progress, as well as ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to empathise with and give support to participants who may not feel comfortable in learning or sports related environments.
- Sound sports development or school education knowledge and experience with a proven track record of achievement.

Desirable_**
- Experience working within a talent development environment.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Current DBS certificate.
- Clean drivers’ licence.
