Dog Walker

**Job Summary**

**Part Time**:
This is a fully self-employed position with flexible working hours.

**Earnings**:Competitive. Fee received per job completed. Earnings will depend on how much work is completed.

Sophie's Pet Care® is a dynamic company with its sights firmly set on growth. The brand is already well-known in the local area. This is not a start-up, but rather a strong local company with hundreds of customers.

**Location**:
The company's offices are near Lymington. However, the successful applicant will spend their time driving to and from client's houses using their vehicle to pick up and drop off dogs and walk them — on a one-to-one basis. As well as visiting them and other small animals in their homes. The applicant will need to live in the trading area of the company - ideally in either Lymington, New Milton, Milford on Sea, Everton, Hordle, Sway or other local areas.

Regular and detailed face-to-face progress and training meetings at the company's offices and also online will also be required.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

The following is not an exhaustive list, but serves to indicate some of the principal elements of the role:
Pick up and drop off dogs from client's homes in your vehicle.

Ensure security of client's homes.

Walk dogs (on a one-to-one basis, or pair from the same home) outdoors in all weather conditions and maintain control of the dog(s) at all times.

Ensure safety of the dog(s) you are walking and also other humans and dogs around them.

Remove pet waste.

Take photos of the dogs as directed (so clients can see how they are doing).

Refresh water, wipe paws etc.

Communicate with clients as directed.

Record which dog(s) you walked, anything abnormal that you noticed during the walk.

Keep track of your time and provide electronic and other paperwork to Head Office as directed.

Visit client's homes to feed dogs, cats and other small animals.

**Reporting Line**

This role reports directly into the Operations Director.

**Qualifications and Skills**

A genuine animal lover, with experience of owning and looking after dogs.

An active individual, with the ability to walk and handle multiple dogs on and off leads regularly.

A lover of the rugged outdoor life, who enjoys being out in the elements in all weathers.

A self-starter, able to work independently and without continuous supervision.

A very trustworthy individual who will follow procedures and uphold the brand standards of the business at all times.

Excellent communications skills, problem-solving abilities with a willingness to take direction whenever required.

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: £200.00-£500.00 per month
