**Economy, Regeneration and Strategic Programmes Group leader**

**SALARY: Grade 11 | SCP45-50 | £53,634- £58,834**

**HRS/WEEK: 37 hours**

Are you a Regeneration practitioner, with strong project management skills and experience in leading a diverse team? Then this may be the next role for you. Torfaen County Borough Council is currently delivering a programme of exciting regeneration initiatives across the borough to revitalise and improve economic and social conditions.

As the Group Leader you will be responsible for leading and ensuring strong project management on a number of high profile, strategically important, fast paced and complex regeneration projects which currently includes the British Regeneration Site, Strategic Transforming Towns, Strategic Placemaking and Levelling Up Fund programmes.

You will also lead our Foundational Economy team, providing clear vision, alignment to the wider regeneration agenda; and direction to the support they provide to our Foundational Economy business community, including the services and facilities offered through the World Heritage Centre and the Pontypool Indoor Market.

Strategic co-ordination of the Blaenavon World Heritage Site, Canal Strategy, Destination Management and Townscape Heritage Programme are further areas of responsibility.

A strong communicator, excellent leadership skills, along with an ability to manage complex programmes of work efficiently, effectively and to the highest standard, are all key attributes to this role.
