Venue Technical Apprentice

**What is involved?**:
You will study for a Creative Venue Technician Level 3 with the National College of Creative Industries.

You will build your knowledge in all technical areas including lighting, sound, audio / visual, event set up and facilities, and you will learn about venue health & safety management and technical safety.

You will work 40 hours per week, this will be on a flexible rota including evenings and weekends. You will also be allocated time to study and meet with your tutor within the week.

Our buildings include a 1500m2 flexible, flat floor performance and event space; five studios suitable for rehearsal, performance and recording; three rehearsal and education studios; two events, exhibition and function spaces; two large public foyers; bars; a café; an outdoor courtyard; and associated ancillary support facilities such as dressing rooms, workshops, green rooms and offices. The Venue Technician will support the Technical Manager on a wide range of activities including performances, rehearsals, workshops, meetings, weddings, parties and commercial events, and maintaining our Grade II and II* listed buildings.

**What are the minimum essential requirements?**:

- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have achieved Maths and English at Level 2, if you haven’t this must be achieved ahead of your end - point assessment and we can support this.
- You must be permitted to work in the UK
- You must be a resident in the Royal Borough of Greenwich
- You must be able to work evenings and weekends as and when required
