**Commercial Data Strategist (up to £45,000)**

**About the role**

In recent years Immediate has successfully transformed from a traditional, print dominated business to a multi-channel one. Digital advertising now represents over 2/3 of total advertising revenues. Data and its commercial use has played a pivotal role in this transformation and as the industry undergoes rapid disruption driven by technological and regulatory scrutiny, growth in the adoption of our data products as well as their continued development are crucial.

In this newly created role you will be at the heart of articulating Immediate’s Commercial Data proposition to advertising customers; helping put data at the centre of Immediate’s approach with both clients and media agencies. You will also be responsible for using your market knowledge and expertise to inform the development of our data proposition. This is a largely market-facing role, reporting to the Head of Commercial Data & Analytics, and working closely with the Director of Digital Trading.

**As a **_Commercial data strategist_** you will;**
- Drive digital advertising revenue growth through greater uptake, confidence and use of Immediate’s data products by the sales teams and our clients whilst developing new data driven revenue streams
- Identify opportunities for strategic data partnerships - for example, integrating with media agency data platforms, retail media platforms or enabling advertisers to leverage their first-party-data
- Keep IM abreast of the latest market trends and developments relating to data and identity
- Support the sales teams with your expertise around Immediate’s data products and capabilities, and digital advertising data more broadly. To achieve this, you will:

- Ensure that the teams are well equipped to sell our data products, and that our data is used commercially to its full effect.
- Attend client and agency meetings and present our data proposition in a compelling way.
- Advise both the sales team and our customers on the best use of our data products and capabilities.
- Ensure that our data capabilities are compellingly articulated within proposals, brief responses and campaign reporting
- Lead on our GTM data proposition with regular reviews and refinement
- Work closely with our most valuable clients to look for ways in which data can help embed our media in their long-term planning.
- Identify opportunities for our data to drive truly incremental revenue - for example, by working with in-house programmatic and/or retail media teams
- Help drive the direction of our data product roadmap, by providing insight into what drives value for customers.

**Requirements**:

- In-depth understanding of the role of data within the digital media advertising landscape
- Expert understanding of current digital data technologies - for example, Data-Management-Platforms, data matching partners, clean rooms, and digital IDs.
- The ability to translate complex data products into a simple, market facing proposition.
- Experience presenting to advertisers and / or agencies and responding to data-led advertising briefs
- A track record of using data to grow advertising revenues, and of developing successful data partnerships with customers.
- The ability to work closely and collaboratively with a broad internal stakeholder group.
- Independent, proactive individual with curiosity to constantly learn and a creative approach to problem solving
- Commercial nous.
