**Job summary**:
We are recruiting for the role of **Procurement Officer** in our Procurement team.

This role is part of a team based from the Derby office, so there will be some requirement to travel however, our team works flexibly and remotely, so it is anticipated that office based work will be required between one to two days per week, potentially less after an initial period of training.

**Job description**:
As a** Procurement Officer** you will provide effective and efficient support to the Procurement Team to include continued development of the central procurement function within Cafcass by assisting and supporting internal and external stakeholders with procurement administration and report preparation.
- To provide project support for the Procurement Team to progress and implement project management solutions
- To maintain internal records as required, including input into the E Procurement Portal and Share-point
- To provide advice and support to internal colleagues on the use of Cafcass national contracts including liaising with and proactively resolving queries with suppliers
- Supporting the team by drafting correspondence and other documents to the highest professional standards.
- To assist the Procurement Team as directed in relation to current procurement activities in managing and delivering the requirement in a timely, effective and efficient manner.

**Person specification**:

- NVQ Level 3 in Business/Procurement or willingness to work towards a Level 3
- Good knowledge of Cafcass processes
- Ability to provide effective guidance and support to colleagues for travel and interpreters contracts.
- Ability to plan and prioritise a range of procurement related activities and deliver to milestones
- A willingness to be flexible and support the procurement team with project work
