Irish Case Summary Writer / Paralegal (Law Degree/ LPC)- Working with the Law Reporter Team-
- FTC - End of October 2023-
- Hybrid working - London office 1 day p/weekKey Result Areas:
- Writing catchwords and mini-summaries for Irish case judgments for inclusion in customer alerts and publication to Lexis+-
- Updating citator information on Lexis+, extracting case annotations, treatment and history from Irish case judgments-
- Ensuring catchwords, mini-summaries and citator information accurately reflect the judgments of the court, and publishing within agreed timescales (within 24 hours of judgment)-
- Sound understanding and awareness of systems and processes supporting cases content, including content management systems; publishing workflows-
- Reporting issues with key systems and processes, liaising with Case Materials team to minimise operational impactQualifications and Key Requirements:
- Educated to degree level, ideally legally qualified (LPC/BVC) or with some legal training-
- Paralegal or writing experience (through paid work or work experience)-
- Ability to analyse and triage judgments-
- Writing skills, with the ability to summarise complex material in a concise and precise manner-
- A keen eye for detail to maintain the quality of the product-
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team-
- Ability to prioritise, juggling competing demands efficiently-
- Ability to communicate clearly, to a range of audiences, in a timely and appropriate manner-
- Computer literacy-
