**Envirolab**, a member of **RSK Group**, have an exciting opportunity for a **SHEQ** **Officer (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Officer)** to work within our Quality Team and help in maintaining the integrity of laboratory processes in accordance with ISO 1705:2017 at our growing laboratory in **Hyde, Greater** **Manchester, UK.**

**The Role**:
Based in our Hyde laboratory and reporting to the Associate Director / Quality Manager our SHEQ Officer will have experience in a laboratory setting, and will relish working with others across disciplines to ensure all standards are adhered to.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist the Quality Manager in implementing all aspects of the laboratory Quality Manual and QMS procedures in accordance with ISO 17025:2017.
- Aid in the investigation and completion of laboratory anomalies.
- Carry out Internal Audits of laboratory procedures.
- Monitor monthly McertS performance
- Maintain and review Quality Control charts for all analytical testing within the AQC Tools software.
- Assist in amending controlled documents ready for issue.
- Work together with the Technical team in compiling information and documentation to submit to UKAS and expand the laboratories scope of analysis.
- Assist the SHE manager with workplace risk assessments and COSHH reviews.

**Person specification**:

- A science based degree would be desirable.
- General Laboratory awareness would be desirable.
- Competent with Microsoft office packages
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to take own initiative and work within a team.

**Salary and benefits**:

- Salary Up to £26,000 Depending on experience
