Service Care Solutions have an exciting opportnity to work within the Devon and Cornwall Police as a Disclosure Offcier on a 6-month contract.

Location: Cambourne

Job Role/Responsibilities:

- Support the multi-agency approach to protecting children and vulnerable individuals.
- Review materials from various departments (Social Services, Health, Education, etc.) related to criminal proceedings in compliance with the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act.
- Act as a liaison between Social Services, the investigating officer/team, and the Crown Prosecution Service regarding disclosure matters.
- Conduct research and prepare reports to ensure accurate disclosure of relevant information for partner agencies' meetings focused on child protection, vulnerable adults, Child Protection Case Conferences, Child Protection Reviews, secure accommodation orders, and placements.
- Research and prepare reports on information related to the safety of children and vulnerable adults, including disclosure schedules and reports.
- Provide specialist advice and knowledge.
- Gather information to support necessary actions.
- Complete administrative procedures.
- Review, retain, and dispose of records and information.
- Maintain a record management system.

Essential Experience and Skills:

- Some experience in the criminal investigation process.
- Understanding of the criminal justice system.
- Demonstrable ability to write coherent and concise reports.
- Proven research skills, particularly with databases.
- Understanding of the principles of disclosure.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Good decision-making skills.
