Currently, we have a new job opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to work out of our Airdrie Office (ML6) This will be to bolster our estimating department to allow us to spend more time on multiple major opportunities and to enable us to understand the opportunities better to enable us to convert more bids and tenders into added orders, this will also allow us to be more competitive through VE, working with a fast-paced and agile environment this is a fantastic opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Timely and accurate submission of tenders

Preparing tenders for internal adjudications

Vetting incoming tenders/offers from our supply chain and ensuring that the most viable offer is included within their submission

Arranging and chairing tender adjudication meetings and explaining to the attendees the project duration, costing approach and risks to the business

Establish success criteria and act as the single point of contact for the client in relation to the bid requirements and deliverables

To provide clear and concise information on scope, schedule and project clarifications.

Work closely with support teams, Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve technical & business issues that arise

Identify areas of improvement that implement best practices and improve our methodology to deliver high quality projects and services

Evaluate and improve financial performance through alternative execution techniques

Skills & Experience

We value everyone’s skills and experiences but for this role are looking for people who have:
A proven track record in electrical estimating with experience with commercial, industrial projects with a varied amount of small works.

Qualified to a level at least through an apprenticeship, C&G, ONC level

Proven ability to estimate costs and timescales accurately to meet deadlines

Outline design to enable bidding of D&B tenders

A strong understanding of current regulations and standards

Strong relationship building skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and written to a high level

Be commercially astute with good negotiation skills

Excellent IT skills

Experience: Electrical Estimating: 5year (preferred)

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
