We are recruiting a Deli Counter Assistant to join our Food and Beverage team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join our core team

Role Responsibility;
As a Deli counter Assistant you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with the preparation of food and presentation of counters, ensuring they are maintained and fully stocked
- Ensuring that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy according to standards
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed
- Operating and security of tills, temperature control, recording of waste, cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Attending training and meetings as required by the line manager
- Perform ordering, purchasing and stocking of deli products.
- Supervise deli counter to ensure prompt services to customers.
- Provide assistance to staff on preparation, packaging, and preparation of deli products.
- Manage high volume of customers in courteous manner.
- Respond to customer’s queries promptly and accurately.
- Perform slicing, cutting, weighing and pricing the products.
- Remove outdated and damaged products from shelves and storage areas.
- Manage weekly specials and introduce new items to attract customers.
- Welcome and address customers in friendly and courteous manner
- Manage product maintenance and stock rotation to avoid damages or spoilages.
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate great team work
- Experience working in a similar environment
- A basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety Certificate (preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to £10.42 per hour
