We are currently looking for a **Senior Specialist - Procurement** to join us at our facility in **Wellingborough, UK.**

The **Senior Specialist **sets the organization’s procurement strategy for distribution and contract manufacturing within the Axalta EMEA region. This includes the formal development and execution of strategies using best practices associated with the formal RFP processes, process improvement, negotiations, and supplier development.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Accountable for managing direct material spend of $40+ MM.
- Achieve structural cost savings
- Evaluate our current purchasing approaches and propose improvements where needed
- Utilize e-technologies (i.e. RFPs, internet auctions, and online vendor management)
- Perform market analysis, and benchmark analysis, and develop “should cost” models at a commodity level.
- Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations to identify suppliers capable of meeting product and service requirements for both current and future business needs.
- Lead cross-functional qualification projects for alternate or second-source suppliers.
- Monitor and resolve major disconnects within the order-to-pay process.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree, master’s degree a plus
- 5 years of total Procurement experience including:

- 1-2 years of strategic category management experience
- 1-2 years experience working in global teams
- Relative experience in working with distributors
- Understanding of the regional supply base,
- Manufacturing process & critical feedstocks, and
- Experience with contracting directly with producers.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Skills: problem-solving and planning capability, ability to work with a sense of urgency, good communication skills, relationship-building, prioritize, decision making and ability to influence others
