Caretaker - Durham

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a caretaker to work for a client of ours based at a school based in Durham on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be carried out before a start date is confirmed.

Location: Durham

Days of Work: Monday to Friday

Hours of Work: Shift 1 - 06:00 - 10:00 / 14:00 - 18:00 (17:30 on Friday) Shift 2 - 10:00 - 18:00 (17:30 on Friday)

Annual Salary - £23,893.00

Star Date: As soon as possible.

Duties include
- Cleaning the building
- Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
- Inspecting the building including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
- Monitoring cleaning materials, tools and furniture and reordering as required
- Managing bookings for any buildings or rooms available for hire
- Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
- Adhering to the companies safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
