Yard Supervisor

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a **permanent Yard Supervisor**in Wolverhampton for their client who is a well established group of companies specialising in the supply of commercial assets.

**Hours of work** - 8.30-5.30pm M-F

**Purpose of Job**:
The job holder is responsible for the safe operation and appearance of the open areas on site including the yard, carparks and surrounding areas.

**Duties**:

- Ensuring that the yard is maintained to satisfactory standards and is kept tidy at all times
- Maintaining a constant focus and vigilance on health and safety, reporting any issues to the rental office staff
- Parking or positioning vehicles correctly and in the designated parking areas
- Ensuring all vehicles are stored securely and in adherence to Company policy
- Ensuring rental equipment is made ready for collection/delivery to customers
- Checking cleanliness of equipment to include interior and exterior
- Reporting any defects and issues to the Branch Sales Manager and the Rental Office
- Carrying out other related duties as and when required as directed by the rental staff

**Person Specification**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an open environment with changing priorities
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Full valid UK driving licence
