Meadow Lodge Home Care Services is part of a family owned business and have been well established in the West & North Yorkshire areas for a number of years.

We are seeking caring and dedicated Domiciliary Support Workers to join our teams across West & North Yorkshire, we have teams based in Hemsworth/South Kirkby, Featherstone, Castleford/Normanton, Pontefract, Knottingley and Sherburn in Elmet/Tadcaster.

In this role, you will provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes. You will work with individuals who need assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping. Your work will ensure that clients can maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing personal care to clients in their own homes, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Assisting clients with meal preparation and feeding, and ensuring that they have a balanced and nutritious diet.
- Administering medication in accordance with care plans and ensuring that clients take medication as prescribed.
- Assisting with housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, and encouraging them to participate in activities and hobbies.
- Observing and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the care team.
- Ensuring that clients' care plans are up-to-date and that their needs are met at all times.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care and progress.

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals
- Full driving Licence/provisional driver nearing practical test.

Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential
