**Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse**

**£43,000 per annum**

TFS Healthcare are delighted to be working with a hospital that have raised the bar continuously for excellence and continue to do so with their theatre complex. We are seeking an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse with solid orthopaedic experience to join a stateof the art theatre suite and work with the latest equipment and treatment options available. The successful Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse will already have experience in various orthopaedic procedures (essential).

**About the client**:
In the Perioperative team, we provide services across Theatres, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, Day Case Unit and the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit. We welcome nurses and Operating Department Practitioners to join our state-of-the-art facilities and help us deliver exceptionalcare to patients.

We have 8 state of the art theatres covering our surgical institutes including, a hybrid theatre, robotic theatre and intraoperative MRI facilities. We cover many specialties including cardiovascular, thoracic, Neuro, Spinal, Orthopaedic, Plastics, Urology,Gynae, and general surgery.

**About the role**:

- The Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse is responsible for working with the multi-disciplinary Theatre team to assess, implement and evaluate effective care.
- The post holder will be a skilled member of the Operating Theatre team providing the highest standard of care and ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately.
- Participate in own Individual Performance Review and after suitable training, to be responsible for undertaking timely reviews for own team of junior practitioner.

**About the Individual**:

- Nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) required.
- Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Scrub Practitioner.
- No restrictions to practice on NMC record or HCPC record.
- Substantial experience as a Scrub Nurse in an orthopaedic setting
