A reputable house builder have a requirement for a Land /Manager to join their growing Lancashire regional office.

Role of the Land Manager
" Ability to identify viable land development opportunities both on and off market for delivery in the short to medium term;
" Be able to carry out site viability appraisals, market research and planning appraisals on prospective sites and areas;
" Assist with the building of a short and medium term land pipeline for the region;
" Strong knowledge of the residential market with a growing individual network of contacts within the industry. This will be required in order to maintain and expand the companies contact base with various land owners, agents and local authorities;
" Be able to support and assist with formulation and management of offers, co-ordination of investigations, negotiation with local authorities, agents, solicitors and third parties;
" Procure technical, legal and development information to liaise and instruct internal and external parties to appraise site opportunities and constraints;
" Technical ability and a good understanding of the planning process and planning system within our region;
" Support and assist the land team and wider regional departments as required;
" At all times comply with Company policies, procedures and instructions.
Experience required the Land Manager
" Will have a minimum of 3 years developer or consultancy experience and ideally from a land and/or planning background;
" Proven track record in the identification and valuation of sites and must be able to demonstrate previous work experience;
" Must have a sound geographical knowledge of Lancashire and Greater /Manchester;
" A skilled professional, who is a self-starter and able to work autonomously and collaboratively;
" Strong and persuasive negotiations skills and able to communicate on all levels both orally and written;
" Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload;
" Excellent administrative and IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook);
" Excellent organisational skills;
" Must hold a full clean UK driving licence and be a competent driver as the role requires a proportion of your time out of the office to attend site visits, meetings etc.
