As a painter, you will primarily be employed for regular and continuous painting across the site including food production areas as well as offices and external areas of the Wellingborough site and occasionally other sites as required. However, you will also be required to undertake cosmetic improvements, cleaning, and light maintenance works to ‘make good’ areas as necessary. You will use your experience to plan and carryout decorative works that enhance the environment for both the facilities and colleagues including identification of requirements and preventative works.

Whilst you would be reporting directly to the Engineering/Maintenance Manager, you will also work closely with the operational team and onsite contractors, to ensure works are carried out in a safe/ productive and cost-effective manner with mínimal disruption to production and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Paint internal and external areas of the site to high standard using appropriate materials
- Become the site “go to person” on all things that are cosmetic maintenance related.
- Develop and maintain an inspection programme that ensures the site is kept to a high decorative standard with remedial works carried out in a timely, non-disruptive manner
- Undertake cleaning and light maintenance tasks to maintain and improve the aesthetic requirements of the site
- Support in project works relating to the buildings and external areas of the site to ensure completed to a high aesthetic standard and in line with regulations where appropriate.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with the health and safety policy.
- Ensure compliance to legislation and operating standards.

- Light maintenance experience.
- Positive and helpful approach and attitude
- Experience in Food Manufacturing environment advantageous
- General building and maintenance experience advantageous.
- Brick & blockwork repairs, including pointing advantageous.
