Sawmill Operative

**Option A are looking for sawmill yard workers for our client in East Lothian.**

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a sawmill and learn the whole trade from the bottom up. Starting as a labourer / machine operator and then getting trained to use forklifts and heavy plant.

Working in a busy sawmill that make wooden lengths from logs and trees.

**Involves**:

- lifting
- cutting
- using machinery
- using tools
- labouring
- setting up machines
- helping experienced sawmill workers and any other duties that need done on site.
- Indoor and outdoor work.

**£10.42 per hour, Monday to Thursday 8am till 5pm. Fridays 8am till 12am.**

Due to the location of the yard, you need your own transport as their is no bus service.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: Up to £10.42 per hour
