Lead a highly skilled cyber security team consisting of a mix of security focussed engineers and cyber security consultant.
Working within a fast moving and agile environment the team are responsible for ensuring that all production releases are measured against our security standards and any failings are highlighted and managed. Maintain and continually improve the 'sec' capabilitywithin our DevSecOps world. Maintain and continually improve our security and compliance monitoring and alerting capability. Ensuring any alerts are highlighted and ownership is established with the correct team for remediation. Support any security majorincidents.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and organise the teams backlog whilst ensuring all BAU responsibilities are met.
- Build and maintain productive and effective relationships with the wider studio teams.
- Maintain and present MI to the leadership team, articulating our security risk position and direction of travel.
- Work with the wider security world to ensure corporate standards are maintained, best practice is shared and consolidation opportunities are identified and progressed.
- Work with our corporate risk management team to ensure any identified security risks are correctly categorised and managed.
- The role reports to 'Head of Platforms, Retail and Savings'.
Skills and Qualifications
- Formal security qualifications are desirable but not required.
- A keen interest in cyber security or having work experience in cyber security environment would be an advantage.
- Min. 5 years technical team management or delivery lead experience.
- Experience of working within an Agile / DevOps environment.
- Any experience of Azure / Redhat OpenShift / Apigee / Salesforce / Container platforms. Note: this is not a hands on technical role but an appreciation of these technologies would be an advantage.
- Clear and effective communicator.
- Strong influencer, able to influence at Leadership team level to ensure good security outcomes.
- Able to balance and manage Operational and Change responsibilities for the team.
