The team/department

FIN-NET is a small but dedicated team and will report to the FCA Specialist Intelligence Department Partnerships and Insight manager.

What you will be doing

We're looking for a Senior Associate to take responsibility for running FIN-NET, the Financial Crime Information Network.

FIN-NET is a membership organisation for law-enforcement, regulators, and supervisors, dedicated to sharing information about financial crime.

Working with FIN-NET’s Chair and Steering Group you will develop policy and set the direction of the Network.

You will work with FIN-NET’s members to maintain the profile of FIN-NET within their organisations, often by providing in-person training sessions.

You will also:
- Identify opportunities to raise the profile of FIN-NET more widely across the economic crime landscape, including ensuring government policy makers are aware of FIN-NET’s capabilities- Be responsible for continually assessing FIN-NET’s impact through maintaining and improving management information and writing the annual report- Have responsibility for overall budget management including preparing annual budget proposals and maintenance of financial records

What you will get from the role

This is a varied role providing a unique opportunity to drive the development of a network that has been established for over 30 years.

You will work with a diverse range of organisations helping them get the best out of FIN-NET’s capabilities and will have the opportunity to travel within the UK to deliver training and familiarisation sessions to them (some overnight stays may be required). You will be leading a committed network with an important role to play in the UK's counter fraud and financial crime landscape.

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum- Strong knowledge of financial crime, particularly fraud and money laundering gained through experience- Experience of building effective relationships with a wide range of partner organisations

Essential- Well-developed inter-personal skills and experience of successfully working with diverse organisations at all levels of seniority- Experience of working independently and overseeing a discrete area of work- An understanding of the financial crime landscape across the UK- Ability to deliver impactful presentations to audiences of various sizes- Experience of budget setting and management- Good organisational skills and a pragmatic approach to varied responsibilities and priorities- Broad understanding of the United Kingdom Intelligence Community- Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant must hold, or be able to acquire national security clearance - Developed Vetting.
