- Working alongside other practitioners to support daily routine and the development of the children
- Gaining a high standard understanding of the role of a nursery practitioner and developing your skills with mentor support
- Your role will include maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the setting, nurturing children to grow and working effectively with the team to support the company in future goals
- Carrying out planned activities under the direct guidance, direction and supervision of the Nursery Manager/Deputy manager and team. This may include activities such as cooking, group time, stories, play-acting and singing to stimulate children’s language, promote questions and develop ideas
- Being a member of the team providing high-quality child-care provision, including taking care of children’s personal needs such as feeding, toileting, self-care
- Be committed to the Safeguarding and Welfare of the children and follow policies and procedures relating to all aspects of the Early Years setting

**The training you will be getting**

Early years practitioner Level 2 (GCSE) Apprenticeship Standard:

- Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Functional Skills in English and maths if required
- End Point Assessment - Knowledge Test and Professional
