**Assembly Team Leader**:
We are recruiting an experienced Assembly Team Leader for our Capital Equipment & Dig Mech Meters (including but not exhaustive of Tower tyre inflators, Nitrogen, Carts, Ball Inflaters, Digital and Mechanical meters) a, to ensure section operates to target.

You will be responsible for all HS & E compliance within the area of control and required to carry out any other duties as required by the business and comply with the HORNGROUP policy.

**KPI's**:

- Delivery Performance (OTIF)
- 5s & CI Implemented.
- Efficiency Improvement.
- Agreed levels of stockholding.
- Internal scrap and rework levels.

**Key Objectives**:

- You will ensure section’s productivity is maximised and agreed stockholding met.
- To create production plans with production planning and ensure sufficient resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery service.
- You will monitor, measure and report on production related process performance and general issues.
Ensuring items are assembled to specification with minimum scrap / rework. Items are quality checked and signed off.
- To lead, manage and motivate the assembly team - organising labour, identifying training needs, managing performance, attendance management and discipline.
- To ensure team is trained and coached in all aspects of their role, creating a continuous improvement/ 5s culture and teamwork, updating skills & behaviours matrix.
- Conduct annual appraisals.
- Ensuring equipment/ machines are maintained, PM schedules are adhered minimising down time.
- You will identify and implement process improvements and cost reductions, communicating with all relevant departments.
- To ensure conformance to HR/HS & E policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to achieve agreed service levels as required by our customers.
- Effectively carry out Team Briefs.
- You will provide leadership, set department targets and report on KPI’s.
- Maintain standards - regularly conducting and documenting audits /workplace inspections on H&S, Quality, Process Compliance & Housekeeping.

**Applicants are invited who can evidence skills, knowledge and experience of**:

- Good all-round process knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Competence to review existing SOP’S and develop new ones.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing/ 5s principles and the ability to embed into the culture of the department.
- Inter-personal skills to obtain the required levels of performance, behaviour etc.
- Good computer knowledge including ERP systems and Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook, teams).
- Carrying out Risk Assessments and writing SSW's. Ideally hold IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
- Excellent time management/ organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Leadership and people skills.
- Knowledge of all manufacturing functions.
- Experience of planning and prioritising.
- A demonstrable self-motivator experienced at successfully delivering against challenging goals and targets.
