**Reed Accountancy and Finance** are proud to be working with a forward-thinking, haulage operations company in the Norwich area seeking an experienced **Finance Officer**to join their accounts team.
As part of a small but dedicated team, the **Finance Officer** will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all related tasks are effectively completed which will in turn contribute towards the efficiency of this well-established firm.
The **Finance Officer**position itself entails the following in summary:
To oversee and assist with the various elements of finance, banking, ledger management and transaction processing. This role requires an appreciation of the importance of reconciliations, cut-off, accuracy, as well as someone with a logical and methodicalapproach to work who is able to operate to tight deadlines and have an appreciation of the ledger impact of the transaction processing.
**Duties Include**:
- Work accurately and within tight deadlines.
- Work within a role that displays and encourages model behaviours and corporate values and promotes these throughout the team environment
- Monitor, refine and implement processes to ensure the team are capable and supported in the delivery of service to customers as well as meeting its reporting deadlines.
- Along with colleagues; prepare and deliver all weekly and monthly customer invoicing as well as self-billing.
- Liaising and coordinating closely with the internal credit control team and commercial teams as required.
- To ensure all new customer and supplier accounts are set up correctly following company standards ensuring a good audit trail and permanent files are well maintained.
- Working closely with our Network Team to maintain good relationships to deliver high standards expected the brand.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all the Group’s products and services.
- Ensure effective use of IT systems, in line with the relevant Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all calls are handled in accordance with agreed company standards such as: - data protection, company sales approach.
- Transaction Processing for all invoice queries, customer queries, accounts and reconciliation of the recovery service.
- Weekly reconciliations of our partnered payment processors to ensure receipts and payments are correct.
- Assist with the input of transactional data to sales and purchase ledgers via bulk imports as well as manual entry as applicable to the Sage 50c accounting system.
- Assist with banking template preparation and checking, assist with the work involved in setting purchase ledger payments up within the banking system as required.
**Hours and Salary**
9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays and pension (after qualifying period)
6-month probation period
£23,000 to £25,000 per annum
