**The role**

Based in Assessment, Credit and Qualifications in Academic Services This is a key operational assistant role working across two areas - Assessment Processing and Qualifications Centre.

Assessment Processing role

To provide support in the delivery of a wide range of administrative activities associated with the delivery of assessment activities that ensure Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA), Computer Marked Assignment (CMA), Computer Marked Examination (CME), End of Module Assessment (EMA) and associated assessment activities are processed to agreed schedules and service levels. You will act as the first point of contact for students and OU colleagues, providing information, advice and guidance on assessment processing activities as appropriate.

Qualifications Centre role

To assist in a range of activities supporting the student services of the Qualifications Centre by working with the team on site. You will play a key part in assisting with the University’s certificate production service for conferment of qualifications and the replacement certificate service in Milton Keynes. You will also carry out general administrative tasks in this area.

**Skills and experience**

This role will suit you if you have;
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, providing information, advice and guidance.
- IT experience including using Outlook, Word, Excel to complete everyday tasks and an ability to learn a variety of IT packages.
- Ability to undertake high volumes of routine tasks.
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
- An appreciation of the need for strict confidentiality, and to maintain high standards of security.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and to maintain accurate records.
