The Tri Service are looking to recruit a full-time Team Leader to manage the Team and support the prevention and safeguarding work across Cornwall Council and each of the three emergency services in Cornwall. You will also support the Tri Service Senior Leadership Team to achieve the services aims and objectives.

You will maintain critical skills in all remits and proactively deliver a range of community safety messages across the community. You will have a crucial role in engaging with members of the community, Cornwall Councillors, town and parish councils to ensure a two-way approach to gathering and sharing local information to ensure action is taken.

As such you will have an important role to play in supporting community resilience and ensuring local accountability.

As Team Leader you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management and support of the Tri Service Safety Officers to ensure compliance and competence of core skills and delivery of PDS and 121 meetings.

You will also be expected to.
- Monitor performance data and production of reports for senior management teams to promote, develop and expand the role.
- Develop and implement procedures and policy’s relating to Tri-Service
- Liaise with Cornwall Council, CFRS, DCP and SWASFT departments to ensure continuity with Pay role, HR support and Recruitment.
- Maintain communications and support with TSSO’s local team leaders from DCP, CFRS, ASB and SWASFT.
- Carry Quality Assurance to ensure standards, identify best practice and improvement.
- Deliver on the Tri Service Communication strategy
- Represent the Tri Service team at the project board.
- Attend the appropriate meetings

To be considered for this key position you must also be able to demonstrate the following.
- At least 12 months recent fire service operation experience
- Be able to evidence knowledge of operational policing
