Weekend Cleaner

**Morning Weekend Cleaner 28th March - 3rd November**

**Hours**:8am - 11.30am Saturday/Sunday

**Rate**:£11.50 an hour

**Location**

Arundel Castle is set in 40 acres of grounds in West Sussex. The seat of the Duke of Norfolk,

Earl Marshall of England, the Stately Home and Castle date back to the 11th century and has been in the family for over 850 years.

**Role Summary**

You will be joining a cleaning team ensuring all areas including the visitor route, public areas, state rooms, and accommodation look their very best. Your pride in your work and keen attention to detail will ensure that you will aim for the highest standards in all that you do. The work will consist of vacuuming, cleaning, polishing and dusting as well as cleaning visitor toilet facilities before the castle opens to the public. The ability to work independently as well as working in a team is important as there may be times you will be required to work on your own.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

Some of your duties will include:

- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Maintaining supplies and cleanliness in visitor toilet areas

**Person Specification**

**Training, Experience and Qualifications**
- Cleaning experience (desirable)
- Experience of working as a team
- COSHH training will be given

**Interpersonal Skills**
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to a range of duties and tasks
- Good communication skills
- Maintaining and expecting high standards of honesty

**Physical/Health Requirements**
- If appointed you must be able to access all areas of the site which includes spiral medieval stairwells

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

- Weekends only
