Thermal Insulation

Precision have over 30 years experience in project delivery through the Power Generation, marine manufacturing, commerical and industrial sectors.

Due to an increase in demand for our engineering services we have a new Apprenticeship opportunity for Sheet Metal / Thermal Insultation.

Ideally, you will be either already enrolled or planning to enrol on a fabrication / welding course at your local college, attend college on day release and work onsite for the remaining 4 days.

Role:
Working with our site supervisor you will be responsible for the following:

- plan where to put insulation
- choose the best materials and tools to use for a particular job
- prepare and clean areas to be insulated
- measure and cut insulation materials to size
- fasten insulation using clips, sprays, adhesives or wire bands
- seal work areas after fitting insulation

You must have:

- knowledge of building and construction
- to be thorough and pay attention to detail
- the ability to use your initiative
- the ability to work well with your hands
- knowledge of maths
- persistence and determination
- the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
- excellent verbal communication skills
- to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

You should also be prepared to make a personal commitment to the duration of the course and be able to commit to the objectives of the employer and to the wider professional standards of the industry.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Belfast, County Antrim: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
