Odds Compiler/trader

A brand new leading sports betting consultancy is looking for an experienced odds compiler/trader to join and expand our team and to deliver best-in-class football proposition across all business verticals. The odds compiler/ trader will be responsible for overall trading prices and positioning with a view to maximise gross win.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Deliver daily pricing on sporting events (football, basketball)
- Management of liability on all bets
- Management and creation of the lifecycle of football betting opportunities
- Make informed trading decisions in a time-critical environment
- Take the initiative with strategic activities important to the entire business
- Monitor pertinent football and basketball injury news and team news and adjust projections accordingly and accurately
- Manage risk and monitor projections accordingly utilising modelling and quantitative analysis

**Skills you will need**:

- Vast experience in either odds compiling and/or sports trading
- Statistical analysis and interpretation to compile market and betting opportunities
- Mathematical and strategic thinking
- Effective decision making, ability to make quick and accurate judgements under pressure
- Flexibility in working hours due to different sporting events
- Strongly motivated, to work individually or part of a team, without supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to analyse several streams of information concurrently and make thoughtful decisions in a highly timely-sensitive environment
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Extensive understanding of team rotations, match importance, players, matchups and understanding how said information impacts projection
- Ability to react to change and embrace new trading models & technologies
