Newquay Foodbank is looking for Logistic Volunteers. This is a key role for the Foodbank in that you will support our collections and stock teams, making sure that are fully equipped to meet the needs of the community at each session.

**Why we want you**:
Newquay Foodbank was founded in 2011 by the community and we work to distribute food and essential items to people in Newquay, and surrounding areas, who are unable to make ends meet. We are a volunteer led organisation and rely on the skills that people from outside our organisation can bring. We are committed to ensuring that we have a sustainable operation both financially and by volunteer support and we must ensure our profile is raised in the community. This is a newly developing team and an exciting time to join us if you like to shape the future. By volunteering as the Logistics Coordinator, you will support our collections and stock team. You may have had a background in logistics or similar or you may be completely new to this but know you have the skills required.

**What will you be doing?**
- Supporting the Collections and Stock & Delivery team to ensure communication from centres to stock and deliveries team
- Working with session leads and Assistant Manager to create a rota each month and manage any changes
- Working with outside organisations to co-ordinate collections (non-supermarket) and deliveries of stock
- Liaising with outside organisations to extend our collection basket offer

**The skills you need**:

- Organised and able to complete tasks accurately with good attention to detail
- A willingness to learn about our organisation and our place within the Trussell Trust and align to our campaigns
- Ability to listen and engage with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences
- Ability to get on with others and be part of a team as well as completing tasks independently

Newquay Foodbank is a member of the Trussell Trust and is a registered Charity (Charity No.1190483) which supports individuals or families who find themselves in food poverty.
