Microbiologist

**Aspire Laboratories is a contract testing laboratory providing microbiology and analytical services to the pharmaceutical and other industries. The company is located in Dagenham East.**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Micro Testing (MLT) as per SOP and methods
- Growth Promotion Testing as per SOP
- Water testing
- Use of Laboratory Information Management Software (LIMS) to log in and check samples
- Promote safety within the laboratory areas, leading by example and ensuring correct signage and maintaining COSHH documentation for safe operations within the lab.
- Ensure efficient and timely operations, meeting internal commitments and minimizing any down time or delays.
- To uphold company procedures in regard to GMP and comply with UK pharmaceutical regulations at all times.
- Logging in all consumables as per SOP
- Responsible to checking stock levels, disposing of expired reagents and consumables and re-ordering
- Managing Waste disposal (clinical & Chemical with the supplier)
- Review and upkeep of lab cleaning logs
- Routine cleaning for micro lab as per SOP
- Cleaning of incubators, fridges and freezers
- Other duties as assigned
- Cross training for QC support

Scope for progression to Microbiologist and performing validation activities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
