Drivers Mate

365 People are recruiting for a reliable, presentable and hardworking individual to join our clients team as a Driver's Mate. You will assist the delivery driver in transporting high quality furniture and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills.

**Duties**:

- Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle into customers homes, and assemble if required.
- Safely secure items in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage during transportation
- Accompany the driver on delivery routes and help navigate to various destinations
- Assist with the verification of delivered items and obtain necessary signatures and photographic proof of delivery
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy furniture repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person
