Plumbers Mate

_Borthwick Heating_ is a company established in 2008, operating across the UK. We work through the ECO4 scheme, which focuses on reducing carbon emissions, and we are constantly expanding, with a workforce of over 150 staff, 70+ vans and completing thousands of installs yearly.

We are currently looking for our next generation of heating engineers, for those who have a plumbing background and are looking to get into the gas industry. We want to provide full training so that after a couple of years training, you can be a heating engineer, going out and completing your own installs Out of area travel and stay throughout the working week will be required for this role, along with a full UK driving license.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assist plumbers in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems**:

- **Carry tools and materials to job sites**:

- **Prepare job sites by setting up equipment and tools**:

- **Cut, measure, and assemble pipes and fittings**:

- **Remove and replace old plumbing fixtures**:

- **Keep work areas clean and tidy**:

- **Perform other duties as assigned**

**Requirements**:

- **Previous experience as a Plumbers Mate is preferred but not required**:

- **Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools**:

- **Good communication skills**:

- **Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**:

- **Ability to work independently and as part of a team**:

- **Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures**:

- **Willingness to learn and expand knowledge of the plumbing trade**

**Salary: Negotiable based on experience**

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
