Research Laboratory Coordinator

The ALBORADA Drug Discovery Institute (ADDI) is seeking an experienced Research Laboratory Coordinator to join the team.
**About us**: The ADDI is part the prestigious Alzheimer's Research UK Drug Discovery Alliance. We take novel projects from target to in vivo proof of concept and beyond in the neurodegeneration therapeutic area.
**The Opportunity**: You will help deliver the next generation of treatments for neurodegenerative diseases by ensuring the safe and effective operation of our laboratory. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of scientific breakthroughs and support the success of our cutting-edge research. Reporting directly to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), you will manage and oversee the running of the research laboratories to ensure the efficient use of resources and will work with the Heads of Biology and Chemistry to ensure the effective operation of the institute.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Undertaking the role of both the Departmental and Biological Safety Officer. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Your contribution will extend beyond the Institute walls, as you'll collaborate with a diverse network of building support staff, fellow occupants, and estates management to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- You will play a crucial role in various aspects, including procurement, equipment maintenance, and training, all essential for ensuring the seamless operation of our laboratories.
Additionally, your administrative skills will be utilised in tasks such as staff inductions, meeting coordination, and other vital activities.
