**Job role**
Working within the office with a friendly team of people, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks
**Typical responsibilities will include**:
- Opening and closing case files.
- General administration duties, such as filing, organising, printing, and scanning including inputting data into the Firm’s case management system.
- Audio typing and copy typing of letters and other documents.
- Preparing, filing, and updating legal documents.
- Dealing with, and making, telephone calls and taking messages as appropriate.
- Attending upon clients as required.
- Dealing with straight forward enquiries at direction of solicitor.
- Processing accounts procedures on conveyancing transactions.
- Completing Land Registry documentation and SDLT forms.
**Criteria**
- **Essential**_
- 12 months’ experience working within the conveyancing process within in a law firm or estate agency.
- Understanding of the conveyancing process.
- Computer literacy and audio typing.
- Good communication skills and telephone manner.
- Personable, self-organised and motivated.
- **Desirable**_
- Secretarial experience in a law firm.
