**Primary School Sports Coach**

Working Hours: Monday to Friday every week, 1:00pm-4:15pm (Monday & Friday finish at 3:30pm as no sports club) during school term time.

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic sports coach to work with our primary school students delivering PE lessons and after-school sports clubs. The coach will be responsible for planning and delivering fun, engaging, and age-appropriate sports activities that promote physical development, teamwork, and a love of sports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver high-quality sports activities during lunchtime, PE lessons, and after-school sports clubs
- Ensure all activities are safe, fun, and inclusive for all students
- Create and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes physical development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, and provide feedback to students and teachers as required
- Collaborate with other school staff to support the school's physical education program
- Keep accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and achievement
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions and professional development opportunities as required
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety, child protection, and behaviour management

Key Requirements:

- Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant sports coaching or education field
- Experience of planning and delivering sports activities to primary school children
- Good understanding of child development, and the ability to adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Passionate about sports and physical education, with a strong commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes towards sports
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations and child protection policies and procedures

**Salary**: Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

**Experience**:

- Sports coaching: 1 year (required)
- PE teaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS (preferred)
